“ On his goodreads profile, my friend Brian writes, “If you go home with someone, and they don’t have any books, don’t fuck ‘em!” This has always struck me as wise advice for the literary bachelor or bachelorette, and I’d like to extend it further, away from the romantic and sexual: if you don’t read, I don’t want to be your friend…I don’t even want you to serve me a drink at a bar.
